The spam filters also remove viruses sent through the email. When a scanned email is identified as containing a virus, the filters quarantine the email. The server will hold the email, along with all spam, and keep them from being sent to your computer.

Spam removal with built-in virus protection
The virus filters and anti-spam algorithms are designed to delete viruses and reject spam before it reaches your mailbox. We route the DNS for your mail through our spam filter appliance. The spam filter server rejects the spam and removes the email containing viruses. The server then allows your genuine email to be sent on to your email box.
In the last seven months, the spam filters have removed 18 million spam messages, none of which were genuine email accidentally caught in the system. In fact, many of our clients are reporting only genuine email in their inboxes. Overall spam can be reduced by 90% or more and known viruses should be eliminated completely. Based on the close to 19 million messages that we have processed so far, less than 2% of the traffic is legitimate email, the rest is spam.

This service is very easy to configure. All you have to do is pick up the phone and give us a call. You could even shoot us an email, and we will set it up. There is no software to install or special settings to configure on your personal computer. We make the changes to the email routing and you see the change in your email.

Will the spam filters work with all email address on my domain?
Yes. The filtering is based on the domain name, so every email box will be filtered for viruses and spam.
Do I have to configure my email client?
No. One of the great things about this approach to getting rid of spam is that there is no software to install, no settings to configure and the benefits are apparent right away.
How much will spam be reduced?
You should see a 90% or better reduction in the amount of spam that arrives in your mailbox.
Will viruses be removed from incoming emails?
Yes. The Anti-Spam appliance also has an Anti-Virus checker built-in. Any email containing a virus is deleted. An additional bonus is the Anti-Virus software and the Anti-Spam software are updated hourly.
How will I know if any spam was removed?
You will receive an email each day around 3:30pm CST if any mail has been quarantined, and some messages might show up in your inbox marked as [BULK]. Both of these will be ways to know if the filters are working. In addition, you should notice a dramatic decrease in the amount of spam that results in your inbox.
What if the filter mistakes a message for spam, can I get it back?
No. Once an email has been determined to be spam, it is returned to the sender with a note explaining that the Anti-Spam appliance has determined that the message was spam. At that point, the sender can contact you and we can help you determine what needs to be done, so that those emails will get through as they should (Whitelist).
